The plethora of private TV channels has provided an opportunity for every Qazi, Imran and Shaikh to somehow squeeze space for themselves into our sitting rooms -uninvited, unconvincing and unwelcome. Yet they are there no matter how many buttons you press on the remote. They refuse to answer questions put to them directly and will say the same thing over and over again. Verbosity is a word unknown to them. In this my first posting I would like to request them and their ilk to first establish their credentials before they open their mouths. Qazi Hussain Ahmed (who incidently has a son studying in America) and Imran 'the lone ranger' Khan (educated in the UK) are election boycotters and therefore have no locus standi to either speak on behalf of the people or criticise a government they did not vote for or against. Please wait until the next elections and politely turn down offers of TV appearances. Shaikh Rasheed of the infamous 'Lal Haveli' forfieted his deposit in the last elections and therefore should not speak for the people.
Qazi Hussain is an American baiter and because of the failed policies of the current US administration has many listeners. But please listen to his expalanation for sending his son to study in the US: "He was studying a subject for which there were no 'boys only' institution in Pakistan. So he had to go to America!
I think that statements like that are an abuse to our intelligence. More later.

You are 100% correct. But I would like to add something here. Mr. Asif Ali Zardari is a real politician and he must be commended for that. Poor Mr. Nawaz Shareef is not. Politicians always leave enough space for themselves to advance or retreat depending upon the political scenario. This is politics. I haven't seen a narrow minded politician than Mr. Shareef. He sticks to his bakwaas like a chewing gum and thats not good. He has suffered for 9 years but still he hasn't learnt his lesson. He has a knack to shoot himself in the foot and he has done it again.
Hats off to Mr. Zardari. He not only collected together the PPP after Shaheed Rani's martyrdom, but ensured that PPP swept the four provinces and even on the national stage in the national elections.
Hats off again to him for seeing through the bad intentions of Nawaz League, who in fact wanted the PPP government to crash and then forcing an early election, come into power befolling the people of Pakistan by acting as a champion of the judiciary.
We know how ardent a suporter Mr. Shareef is of the judiciary. We haven't forgotten how he master minded the removal of CJ Sajjad Ali Shah, how his Presidential nominee (Siddiqui) engineered the judicial coup against Sajjad Ali Shah, how the Muslim League hoodlums, bussed in from various parts of Punjab, attacked and defiled the Supreme Court and how he he planned to "arrest" even for a day (according to Gohar Ayub)the then sitting CJ Sajjad Ali Shah. Why now so much love and respect for the independence and restoration of judiciary?
Thank God, Asif Ali Zardari saw through the Nawaz game and pre-empted him. Check Mate Mr. Shareef!! Good luck to you. Go and have "Dudh and dahee" of Gawalmandi.
I not only agree with Mr: Shafkat's observation but also the comments of Mr: Khayyam.though I disagree with the comment about Mr: "Sharif" suffering for nine years.Suffering with all his family at his side? suffering in a Saudi Palace and with the traditional Saudi hospitality? Sounds absurd........
The media is all out to try and defame Mr: Zardari once again and its shameful.But thank Allah the common man of today might listen to their analysis and comments but at the end of the day uses his own mind to make a decision........ remember the reception of BB Shaheed?

P.S : By the suffering of Mr. Shareef I had meant that the nine years he spent out of power were suffering enough for him and his cronies. Because they always want to remain in power, staying out of power for so long would have been a nightmare. For that feat alone, I must commend Gen. (retd.)Musharraf.
